AbstractThe aim of the present study was to investigate the mechanism of Cr(VI) bioaccumulation by livingand active Phanerochaete chrysosporium. Fungal growth was inhibited beyond 10 mg L-1 Cr(VI) concentration thereby reducing the chromium bioaccumulation capacity.
